Many instances of freezing, and consequently, death!!
Why does the game freeze so much, seriously? Several times throughout the day, sometimes even multiple times on the same map, everything suddenly freezes, and before the screen reloads, my character starts taking damage, and I end up dying without any chance to react! I have already lost multiple maps and died countless times in Delirium and several other mechanics because of this!
I have noticed that this issue occurs more frequently in moments with numerous post-death explosion effects from monsters! Setup: RTX 5070 TI I7-14700K 32GB RAM SSD ![]() Last edited by acbx#4314 on Sep 7, 2025, 7:49:51 PM Last bumped on Sep 7, 2025, 9:40:01 PM

Nothing more demoralizing than dying to trash mobs because you can't input in real time.

Yup. It happened to me and my friend when we were playing yesterday a total of 3 times for each of us. My friend had his first moment like that in our 3rd ascendancy trial (sekhema) and since he was frozen in place, almost lost all our honour. I was luckily able to pull the two stone sentinels off of him.
This game's optimization is a special kind of horrible - it's as bad as a lot of the Unreal Engine 5 big budget games that get shoved out the door, and worse in some cases. Monster Hunter Wilds had huge backlash because of how badly it performs. How this game gets by with such little backlash in this regard, I don't know... Then you have people on the forums here going "Yeah, well, my game runs perfectly fine on a 7800x3D, 4070 Ti and 32GB RAM!" Ofc the game will run well on top-end gaming hardware. No duh. You're in the top 1% of hardware users. A huge majority of people play on... not high end gaming hardware... Look at the Steam Hardware survey. EA/Dice are going through Battlefield 6 and making it run better on low end hardware like what the Steam survey shows because even they noticed a vast majority of their players run low-end hardware. GGG really needs to do the same. They need to up their efforts BIG time and optimize their game. |
