Time to blow off steam regarding the Chayula monk
Welp, I did it, I griefed myself for the third time in a row playing Chayula again.
This post has essentially been triggered from simply completing a map and porting to town... only to then get cancelled by my own volatility which I am supposed to be immune to and then pressing it again, for the 500th time. It might not seem like a big deal. It's kind of like if someone in your office just flicked your ear every time they walked past you. Like, what if I just want to go to work and do my job without getting harassed? What kind of class fantasy is that? I am playing this game so I can escape my life problems, not develop some new sort of stress disorder. This brings me to my main point, which is: Do the buffs from this ascendancy absolutely have to wear off so god damn fast? What was wrong with 10 second purple flames? You literally cannot draw your attention away from hitting the next mob for a single second without essentially having a 0 impact ascendancy, so forget about interacting with any strongboxes or over half the other mechanics without completely griefing yourself. The only things you're allowed to play are breach and that extremely laggy fog mechanic. I'm playing on ultra performance settings with a 3080 and if there's an Abyss and a Delirium it runs like a Warcraft 3 tower defense from 20 years ago. You know what's also not fun? Clearing an abyss and then waiting for the chests to come out of the ground to have all your buffs fall off if you want any loot. Last bumped on Sep 7, 2025, 7:46:44 PM
