Skill Suggestions (Monk - Claps)

Dear GGG, here are some skills I think you could implement in the game:

Monks should have Claps as a mechanic, specially for unarmed Hollow Palm enjoyers.

Claps (or a Clap skill) could work as something that benefits from warcries (if you don't want to make it its own singular thing). Following example:

Claps are skills that benefits from modifiers to Warcries, but are not themselves Warcries. This means that Warcry modifiers apply to Claps, while Warcry support gems cannot.

Clap
Attack, AoE, Melee, Trigger, Lightning, Physical, Duration, Nova.

Cost: (-) Mana
Cooldown Time: 8.00 s
Use Time: 1.00 sec
Requires: (-) Level (-) Dex.
Requires: Quarterstaves.

Clap your hands, sending a thunderous wave around you, stunning enemies nearby and Empowering your subsequent Melee Strikes. This skill cooldown can be bypassed by expending a Power Charge.

[Thunderous Clap]
Empowers Two Attacks per 10 Power counted in range, counting up to 60 Power.
Empowered Attacks Gain extra damage that alternates the type between Strikes, gaining as following:
(10-20)% of damage as extra Physical damage.
(10-20)% of damage as extra Lightning damage.
Empowered Attacks deal their damage in a 1 metre radius area around the target.
Clap Radius is 3 metres, increased by 1 metre if a Power Charge was expended.


Clapping is very monk-like and would be very cool.
Here is another but for Acolyte of Chayula with a different concept:

Use Time: 1.00 sec

Requires: Quarterstaves.

Clap the hand into the ground, summoning breach hands that grasp your enemies, Pinning them and Empowering your subsequent Melee Strikes. If no enemies are sucesffuly Pinned, the hands linger, making them easier to pin. This skill can build Combo by succesfully Striking enemies, After reaching maximum combo you can bypass the cooldown of this skill.

[Clap of Grasping Hands]
Bypass the Cooldown with 13 Combo.
Lose Combo if you generate no Combo for 8 seconds.
Converts 70% of Physical Damage to Chaos Damage
Empowers One Attack per 4 Power counted in range, counting up to 40 Power.
Empowered Attacks are Pinning
A lingering Grasping Hand increases the Pin Buildup by 40%
Limit 1 Grasping Hand per enemy.
Clap Radius is 6 metres.

Clap the hand into the ground, opening a breach in the location that manifests Flames of Chayula. Enemies killed inside the breach increase its duration and radius. This skill can build Combo by succesfully Striking enemies, After reaching maximum combo you can bypass the cooldown of this skill.

[Breaching Clap]
Bypass the Cooldown with 13 Combo.
Lose Combo if you generate no Combo for 8 seconds.
Converts 100% of Physical Damage to Chaos Damage
Breach radius is 4 metres, increased by 1 metre per 10 Power counted.
Breach radius is increased by 1.3 metres per 10 Power of enemies killed inside of it.
Breach duration is 4 seconds.
Breach duration is extended by 1.3 seconds per 10 Power of enemies killed inside of it.
Using this Breaching Clap inside another breach created by this skill adds to its radius and duration instead of creating a new one.
Duration of Flames of Chayula is 13 seconds.
Flames of Chayula fade when the breach closes.
Leaving the breach closes it.


Another one you could do is inspired by the 100 hands of Buddha. one could be a high tier one for end game only, and is also inspired by Isaac Netero of course.

Clap
Attack, Melee, Strike, AoE, Trigger, Duration.
Tier: (-)
Level: (-)
Cost: (-) Mana
Cooldown Time: 5.00 s
Use Time: 0.33 sec
Requires: (-) Level (-) Dex.
Requires: Quarterstaves.

Clap your hands together in a gratitude, Reserving all your unreserved Spirit to enter a Ascended State gaining Attack Speed and Empowering your Attacks a number of times based on the amount of Spirit Reserved.

[One-Hundred Palms of Tempest]
Reserve all your Unreserved Spirit to enter Ascended State.
While you are in Ascended State:
Empower One Attack per Spirit reserved this way.
Empowered Attacks are also considered as Unarmed, creating Spectral Fists that deal the Attack damage in a area in the direction of the Attack.
Empowered Attacks range are increased by 3 metres.
Empowered Attacks deals 66% Reduced Damage.
Empowered Attacks have 300% Attack Speed.
You can reactivate this skill to end the Ascended State.


You could make them not count power, not be based on warcries as the nodes on the tree are very far, or even put some empowered attack nodes near the monk side of the tree.
Note that these are not what I want necessarily, but are ideas of how it could be done, clapping hands is very monk-like as I said and is a cool concept and GGG could try it. Empowering attacks already is on the monk anyway in some forms.
Claps could be cool GGG!
