Spell casting vs 2 button wonders from bow users = not fun

I am done trying to key up 4-5 different abilities as a spell caster BEFORE I can actually do any real damage.

I look at all these "deadeye" builds that are 1-2 button hit wonders that blow up the entire screen, with zero setup needed, unlike spell casters.

This is not fun, and again, whoever signed off on these poor game design decisions should be let go. It's clear the team is not in touch with their player base, as they continue to nerf build after build into the ground,

and then neuter the whole "charges" system unless you are set up in a very meta specific way.

There is very few build options for "fun" that will allow you to really progress organically. I see 75% or more deadeye builds everywhere, and so very few spell user builds.

If you watch enough streams and videos, you see so many deadeye builds with just 2-3 skills in their button tray, with all the others blank,

vs seeing all the buttons filled for spell casters as they have to finger dance across their keyboard to get "setup" in order to do any real damage.

Even my crossbow build is a simple button press to change my ammo and then "pew pew pew!" , with some grenade tosses as needed, and maybe a totem if I feel like it.

There is no setup for most builds but as soon as you want to have fun with spell casters, forget it. You have to learn how to synergize 3-4 different abilities in order to do anything useful.

But you can fill the screen with frost/fire/lightning rain and it looks cool!

Yeah, I dunno why they introduce something new that fits the "vision" like parry or infusions and then not purposely make them slightly over-powered. At least then you'd have a large number of users experimenting with them and you'd collect a lot more data about it.

I agree with FruitLord. It's like playing a piano and too many keys to press all the time, can be exhausting map and map.

I instead re-rolled a deadeye and now i just walk around holding down left click and things pretty much die. So much better now.
Charges and infusions simply have so few interactions beyond the "intended" path. I play a melee warrior quarterstaff build with cast fire spell on hit. I generate MASSIVE amounts of lightning infusions.....that I cant use. To the point in a single abyss area I cn leave 50+ just sitting on the ground, sad monuments to being pointless.
