Account locked and silence from support
Hello. My account may have been hacked i suspected after i found a character on the character selection screen which i did not create. I fear it may have been via the standalone client since i only use steam for a decade now. I do not recognize the primary login email and neither do i know if that email was changed or is mine from 10 years ago. Either way it has to be through that or the character i saw on my account which was leveled and in the new poe 2 league abyss, was a bug. Nonetheless i contact support on friday telling them about this same way i just did and they lock my account within 15 minutes i get a reply saying they have. After that i get an email to start recovering my account. I did not get any information if it was hacked or how or via standalone or steam orwhat. Just asked me for my country, city and ipv4 adress. I provide this and no reply back for 2 days now.
After digging through some posts here and reddit with people going through the same i have seen that all of them has had the same experience. 2 weeks and no reply, 40 days no reply, 4 months no reply etc. Im a vereran been playing poe since open beta onslaught league in 2013. Supported the game through a decade and this is the support we get back. My account name which was locked is shady29051992#1263. I understand the process of things of course but please i have very limited time to play during weekends and this happening during a league launch in poe 2 is a real bummer. Please is there any way you can prioritize this. Please.

As you've observed parts of GGG support needing the involvement of senior support staff remain disgracefully slow.
Based on a few reports of people who have gotten hacked accounts back earlier this year (a minimum of 4 email exchanges 4-6 weeks apart) I wouldn't anticipate getting your existing account back this year. You're in the same dumpsterfire trapped in a glacier as everyone else in the same position; and GGG won't play favorites with anyone to get them to the front of the queue. You can shoot yourself in the foot though, the email support tool they use sorts unresolved issues by the most recent customer email not the oldest unanswered one. Which means getting frustrated and sending a second+ followup moves you to the back of the queue. Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |
