I feel bad for Lesser Jeweller's

tl;dr: Lesser Jewellers Orb becomes useless very fast, there should be some usage for it.

In PoE1 when you need more links you use Orb of Fusing. And that goes for whatever number you need. In PoE2 instead we use Jeweller's Orbs, they grant us specific number of sockets. I'm totally fine with that.
But from this comes the problem of this orbs being useless whenever you get enough better orbs. It feels like it is same story as it is with runes: while leveling, you progress from lesser to greater runes, and at some point all runes you get are greater.
Now, for jeweller's it would be to easy if you were just given all 6-links (5-supports?) when you enter maps. I belive pricing for orbs now is how it should be: lesser are not important, greater are very cheap and perfect are pricy ones. But I feel like it just makes lesser orbs completely useless in endgame, why use it instead of greater, you are not paying much anyway.
I belive there are multiple solutions to this. You may just cut drop of lesser orbs and give us a bit more chance for others. But I think it is lame.

I would suggest something more fun, like changing behaviour of each orb a little. Let's say, each Jeweller's orb now increases number of sockets on Gem by just one. But Lesser has a limit of 3, Greater has a limit of 4 and Perfect - a limit of 5. This way you may still use and store only Greater/Perfect, but you are also encouraged to use Lesser just to save some money on Greaters.

Any thoughts?

there is no need to feel bad for them, as they are digital items that dont have feelings.
