In Game Chat Muted Because of Sarcasm

In game chat muted because of sarcasm? Is this a Code of Conduct in game that we have to follow. I took a screenshot btw if anyone wants to see it.

Context:

Someone was saying he isn't doing well with Geonor. I was at the point of sending a message to give him tips. Then I saw this message:

So what happened earlier?

There was this scammer in global chat:

YFUXFVGBA: M M O VV.COM ... buy 20 div free 1, and Code "THE" Saving 8%...DIV ...fast delivery (etc etc etc)

I typed in Global chat:
Me: Scammed. I bought 2000 divs but I didn't get the free divs.
Me: I type "THE" as the code but didn't work. Scam!
Me: What am I supposed to do with this 2000 divs if I don't get the free divs? Scam


So basically my question is we are not allowed to be sarcastic against scammers anymore? We're just supposed to let them slide?
