I get knocked to the ground and buttfucked for running because i want to dodgeroll but your game seems to think "Yes! this dude wants to run at this pack of 30 mobs because he´s a fucking idiot!" You probably got dotted to death. Dot damage during Abyss is extremely high and can't be mitigated, so it feels like a one-shot
