Deadly boss maps, azmerian wisps, and layouts need to be looked at for next patch
1. Deadly boss maps are an absolute headache to unlock. The two I have had the most trouble with are the mansion in the mists and the sealed vault. I've run into 3 unsealed vaults that I'm unable to access and two mansions. Two of the vaults I have cleared every node within 2 connections, sometimes up to 8 nearby maps, with no sign of the key. My most recent one has a nearby map that seems to be legitimately unreachable. I don't know what is causing this but there is definitely some jank with the atlas map generation that needs to be ironed out in addition to this - the way that maps connect is at times frustrating and confusing. I've also noticed that sometimes I gain access to one of the other two deadly boss maps (the temporal sandstorm or jade isles) without even interacting with the beacons. In general, I hate the feeling of going into a map and feeling the need to check every corner to make sure I don't miss something that ends up locking me out of the map, because I can't tell how the beacons work in non-boss maps, especially when they don't spawn with a boss arena.
2. Azmerian wisps need to be changed. Compared to essence and strongboxes which seem to be the level of content wisps were supposed to be, it is a much more involved and monotonous mechanic that isn't even as rewarding as the other two. It's very hard to go through a map and miss a strongbox or essence, but since I've been trying out azmerian wisps I've had multiple maps where I walk by a wisp, or I find one but there's only 1 rare left and it's on the other side of the map. Part of this is due to the fact that (I think) wisps aren't highlighted on the map until you're close enough to trigger them. The wisps are hard enough to see before they're triggered (especially in delirium maps) so this is frustrating. The whole seeking out a rare or unique monster feels pretty bad too, because it's really easy to kill mobs before they get empowered (even rare mobs). It's a shame that azmerian wisps suck so much to do because some of the loot from them is realllyyy cool. I would love to see them reworked in the next patch. 3. Layouts. I think everyone has already complained about layouts but I just wanted to echo that sentiment. There is a big disparity in the quality of layouts that needs to be solved if we have less control over which maps we run.
