🖥️ Performance
10 FPS the moment Abyss monsters spawn together with Beyond/Scourge/Corruption
(for a few seconds..., then it jumps back to a capped 60 FPS) on a Ryzen 9 5900X...
Please optimize the code, tyvm!

Also:
Loading times are still pretty long sometimes (which is kinda painful xD)

⚔️ Ultimatum
Still feels lackluster compared to other content—it might need a major redesign.

Gameplay feels sluggish (all the elevator stuff, lots of navigation in the Trial Cave, but very little loot or combat in comparison).

Some modifiers are harmless, while others are completely overtuned.

"Bahlak, the Sky Seer" is still absurdly overpowered—even compared to the "Trialmaster".
(Example: the "red flash wind blasts" from his feet deal insane damage!)

When Bahlak hits low life and the arena darkens, he triggers a complete cluster of effects that overshadows the Trialmaster’s spotlight—who doesn’t have anything nearly as impactful yet.

From what I’ve read, the endboss lost his one-shot ability—which is great!

Haven’t tested it myself yet, since I’m playing zero-DPS mace melee 😅

Desecrated Ground...

Disabling multiple layers of defense (Recoup, Regeneration, Life Flasks, etc.) disproportionately punishes certain builds.

I just hard-ignore these mobs—not worth fighting or dying to them.

💣 Bubonic Trail / Detonate Dead Mechanics
Might be overtuned? (refering to Quin69's death)

Suggestion: A single DD should never scale with monster life—it’s OP. Better to split it into multiple explosions
(similar to "old PoE1" Detonate Dead chests):
Half the screen explodes in multiple hits, each dealing a capped flat amount of damage—still deadly, but more cinematic than a single “pop” + death.

🧟 Monster Mods
"Executioner" is only hard for life-based melee builds—and super annoying/dangerous for them. → Please delete or redesign!

🌊 Drowning Orbs
Nobody thinks it’s fun to drown in these. → Please consider more creative and fair ways to kill players xD

P.S. The "special drowning orbs" in the "Merveil" boss fight (Act 4) are pretty harmless in comparison, since they don’t seem to follow player movement.

To be clear: The game should have dangerous monster mechanics—but they should never cancel out build-specific abilities. Keep it fair and preserve the RPG feel.

🌱 Volatile Plants
Might’ve been overnerfed this time? (I won’t say more or the community might stone me xD)

Mechanically very similar to Volatile Crags—maybe time for a full redesign?

e.g. Idea:
Volitale Crags "forces" u to move away from the Fireball;

the "new" Volitale Plants might grow a giant (screen wide) field of flowers,
which do some (1000?) Chaos Damage when "popped" by moving over em; this way it would punish moving too fast through this area... and create a unique new monster ability (not just a "copy" clone of Volatile Crag).

⚖️ Game Balance
Offensive and fast builds are still way too favored.

"One-shotting" bosses is still meta—especially in Softcore. → This breaks boss design, since players don’t need to interact with the boss at all.

🔨 Mace Skill Changes in 0.3.0
"Perfect Strike" is way more fun now with its bigger AoE—nice!

But the damage feels really low (maybe due to the Infernal Cry nerf?) → I mostly just auto-attack now... 😢

I'm on a really potato machine so not overly surprise my performance is bad
but if people with modern stronk machine also have problem then yeah there something really wrong with the performance aspect right now

in any case make sure you try switching between DX12/Vulkan, for me on RX580 - DX12 perform 3 times worst than Vulkan for whatever reason. Abyss I still got 2 digit with Vulkan... DX12 give me 5fps 😭

Trial of Sekhema 4th floor last boos room also have severe performance problem due to all those "warping" effects along the edge of arena.
about the performance issues its mostly based on what build your playing

like when i played mercenary crossbow blowing up the screen my game at a certain point started crashing or when i played lightning arrow on ranger there wer so many arrows and lightning popping off that my sound just died and it was eventually unplayable than i started up the frozen mandibles spectre build and everything was fine no lag no crashes no sound problems so its mainly based on what build your playing atm ``made every of those lv90+`` this league

i think they sould make it so we can choose the option like a skip button so when we beat a trial we get teleported instantly to the trialmaster and when we pick a mod that we instantly get teleported into the next trial this would save you about 3-5 minutes of pointless time wasting besides that the room where you have to click a spire and wait for the timer runs out should work like in sanctum time room that if you kill a rare the timer goes down would make it alot better as for the modifiers they heavily favour Energy Shield builds rn and HP builds are just F unless they 1 shot all the mobs

the problem most people face with this trial is that certain builds make it reallllly though to beat this like builds where you cannot see what happens in your screen your cooked during gauntlet trials xD also they sould make the first trial boss drop more honour resistance gear so people have a chance on the second trial before getting send back to the hideout to buy honour resistance relics also they should make it that we could change ascendancy for free when reaching the end of a trial untill your lv65 some people in acts are stuck on 1 build but want to swap but its not possible rn cause the gold requirement is too heavy on them

i think i just overprepare i never have any problems with this i am more annoyed by the modifier that requires your character to stand next to it for it to take damage and otherwise its immortal

practically 95% of the builds will die to this because they cannot even see the ground so they cannot see the corpse explode and randomly die xD

drowning orbs?

it litrally appears around you and it locks u in after standing still for like 3-4 seconds in the middle of it in 99% of the cases this cannot kill you because your always moving

i am more annoyed with the purple orbs that follow you and you have to dodge the whole time because if u dont have chaos resistance it can hit you for 8-12 thousand damage in a single orb and with 75% even than 3-5k damage also the ground effects of abyss are rough and the stun added to the beam


game balance?

it has been like this for years in poe1 and now in poe2 if they tune the top builds down everyone complains because they have nothing they want to play if its too overtuned like lightning orb + lightning arrow during bosses people complain that the game is ``too easy`` same with the crafting before they said its so rough to craft and now ``its too easy to craft`` in the end they should look what is more fun? yea i enjoy running 100 miles per hour clipping everything destroying everything to me i can do that for 300-500 hours and i am like yea that was a good time or craft insane items and i am like HELL YEA BABY compared to struggling 50 hours to get 1 decent item complete the atlas and be done within the first 3-7 days of a league and hop back on poe1

my opinion of the league so far

right now i am blasting the crafting is super fun i made 3 builds to level 90+ already this league and did the entire atlas and i am still grinding because its fun i just hope they keep it going like this and dont go back instead buff the bad builds instead making the mapping quick and fun and than make bosses super rough like in poe1 gauntlet where they lower your dps by like 70-90% dmg on the final bosses and add some insane mods to make it a challenge in my eyes beating a final bosses should push you to the absolute limit to the extend that if som1 started that league they might not even be able to kill one of the difficulty 4 ones instead of hopping in 1 shotting them

but thats about it i am gonna make a build for every ascendancy this league unless they push out nerfs than i go play call of duty or battlefield again xD
