Volcanic Fissure of Snaking + General's Cry interaction

Just a casual player! :)

I'm building an Volcanic Fissure of Snaking build. I have seen many setups using VFS+General's Cry. Is there any trick, because in my build, setting General's Cry together with VFS disable the skill? I know, GC has 2 parts, the main skill and the support part. But still I don't figure it how it works!

Can you link one of the builds you are looking at? I think it makes the attack skills connected triggered, so you can not use them directly.

Most the builds I see currently using both are using the Howlcrack helmet, which I think lets you spam the warcry, or otherwise look to have a second unconnected attack skill.

I'm not familiar with GC builds myself, so I don't know for sure, but I tried connecting a regular volcanic fissure to GC and I get the same thing you are describing.

You need to have Corpsewalker boots. They create corpes which are the source for 5-6 Mirage Warriors from General's Cry. These warriors use Volcanic Fissure of Snaking as attack. So you need only to spam GC.

I don't think Howlcrack helm is nessesary to make it work!

Yep, that will be it. Desecrate might also be an option, GL.

Be aware: general's cry builds are somewhat complicated because you need to correctly identify warcry cooldowns to deal like...any damage. It's one of those builds that you generally will not be able to figure out on your own.

Ex: if your warcry cooldown is TOO FAST, you will spawn and despawn your general's cry guys before they ever attack. Conversely, if its too slow it will feel rather crappy to play with, especially on bosses.

It's been awhile for me, so I can't link a good guide but if this is your first foray into GC, find one that talks you through how to calculate and plan your warcry cd.


When you learn it though, it slaps ass.
