terrible game performance (shader spikes)

I need help fixing my game's performance. At the start of the league game was running very smooth but randomly when I reached the maps my game has been running like shit. I tried reaching GGG support but heard they dont offer technical support atm. I tried everything I could find on reddit/forum/discord but nothing helped. I have awful loading screen times, my shader graph is bouncing up and down all the time and I my game freezes every couple of seconds. Yes, I've tried clearing the cache folder.

Same here, the game crashes regularly (around 1 out of 4 maps), and even if I wait for all shaders to be loaded before starting to move in the map, I still get big stutters whenever an enemy appears / attacks because those shaders weren't loaded.

I love playing with strongboxes but those are usually huge lag bombs due to loading a bunch of enemies not present in the map.

It would be nice to have an option to just load everything during loading time, then play. I'd much prefer crashing when loading a map than in the middle of a fight (I crashed while fighting Zarkoth earlier for example, almost lost my run to that because I didn't regain the honour I lost during the fight, while having to redo the entire fight).

I feel like my drive is also being worked quite a bit during these in-play loadings, which may be a factor.

I've followed this video and the only thing that made any difference was what you said. after using the profile editor to select poe2 my input lag completely disappeared!

I've been SO frustrated with this for SO long, I was really growing to hate the game because 8/10 deaths are from performance issues.
now there gone and it feels like a whole new game. simply incredible.

nvm its back to being shit again im done with this fuckass game

I've been playing poe 1 for a bunch of years and poe 2 since launch, the amount of hoops that you have to jump through to try to even run the game somewhat properly is crazy.

Every damn league it's something different. I'm pretty much about to quit as well because I can hardly play 30-40 minutes before crashing since 0.3 dropped.
GGG should make this a priority

Nah, the priority is releasing mystery boxes for 0.3 game version. I just wish we could get any info from GGG that they are looking into this.

damn man im sorry i had the same thing though, ive pretty much given up. I pretty much need to play on a frickin Series X if I want to just simply enjoy the game, I'm tired of screwing around with the pc
