Blasphemy missing socketed skill

so i equipped blasphemy with despair and it was working. then out of no where it stopped, i keep setting the weapon sets to work with it but when the skill goes active, nothing happens. They keep unchecking themselves, I have 130 spirit. At this point i dunno what to do, i reinstalled the game that didnt work, i have been googling fixes and everything i have tried has not worked. Only thing i was thinking is getting another spirit gem because for some reason that one is bugged.

Any one have any ideas for me? i have hit a wall here with trying to get this to work. thanks for any help

Used a completely different spirit gem and now it works, that specific one must just be bugged itself

i know im replying to myself but the now said different spirit gem does not work
