shaders downloading all the time its frustrating

my green bar on the graph is always full its loading shaders all the time in the same areas i been before for 100 times its acting up like everything is downloading for the first time every time and im losing alot of fps becuz of it i have tried so many things and nothing have worked is this just on PoE 2 and and i cant do anything about it? i did not have this issue in PoE at all

If you have HDD drive, PoE1/2 require SSD.


1)
By default PoE shader cache are located on main C drive, some people still have HDD as main C drive. You can change PoE 2 shader cache directory:

Documents\My Games\Path of Exile 2
Open poe2_production_Config.ini file in notepad

Under [GENERAL] add a
cache_directory=<new shader cache location>

Example

(changing location will start rebuilding shaders, so the bar will be full as you enter new areas)


2) Add PoE2 folder, PoE2 shader cache folder and NVIDIA/AMD shader cache folder to antivirus exception.

3) Delete NVIDIA/AMD shader cache
Nvidia in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache
AMD in: no idea where

4) Use NVIDIA/AMD control panel and set shader cache size to more than 10GB (usually people go for unlimited/100GB)
