[PS5 Game Sharing Bug] Locked out after Free Beta Weekend even though the game is purchased
I boughtPath of Exile 2 on my friend’s account and set his account as Primary on my PS5 so I can play on my own account. It worked perfectly fine during first and second leagues.
But after the free beta weekend ended, whenever I try to play I just get this message: “Beta ended, you need to purchase the game” This makes no sense because the full game is already purchased and installed. I contacted support by email and their only response was to buy the full game again, which honestly makes no sense — especially since a lot of other people are still sharing without any issues. Extra details that prove this is a bug: • Playing from another account on the same console with the owner’s account set as Primary is officially allowed on PSN. • Other players with the exact same setup can still play without any issues — the only difference is that they never joined the free beta weekend. • This bug seems to only affect accounts that joined the free weekend, even if it was for less than an hour. I even spent almost twice the price of the game on stash tabs and skins, and now I’m being told to buy the game again just because of this bug. It’s really disappointing that instead of acknowledging the issue, the responsibility is pushed back on the players. It’s really unfair that only the accounts who joined the free weekend got punished like this. Please fix this as soon as possible Last bumped on Sep 6, 2025, 12:13:20 AM
