I completed the game - I did not find an internal buyer auction. How does it open? I saw on streams that the NPC has it. But for me it's a regular vendor.
I closed all acts and interlude, with all side quests. I completed ~10 atlas maps. I have two purchased premium tabs, one converted to new ones and the other left in the old format, could this be the reason for the closed auction? I can put it up for sale through the NPC. I was actually just reviewing this as well. You would find the item through the POE Trade site and if you decide to buy something it will port you in game to the player's hideout selling the item then you would talk to their NPC to purchase.

from act 4 there is angie and in the menu at the bottom you have the market
