Chaos Inoculation is bugged

Currently I'm freezing and getting stunned even to the weakest hits from the weakest mobs after talenting into Chaos Inoculation. I also just tried doing a Trial of the Sekhemas and my honor was set to 1/1.

The magnitude is based off your life and your life is 1
It's supposed to calculate the magnitude before the life is set to 1, or at least it's how it worked on 0.1 patch (I skipped 0.2). I also forgot to mention I'm using Eldritch Battery (so I have 0 ES), like how I did on 0.1 and it didn't calculate my honor for the Trial like that since I used to have plenty of honor then.

I assume your using mind over matter than too?

0.1 was bugged and it calculated on the life you would have prior to the keystone.

Now it reflects based on your actual life pool

Base stun threshold is equal to your maximum lif. A "hit" that deals damage equal to or greater than your stun threshold is guaranteed to "stun" you, and the chance scales down linearly for lower damage "hits". A stun chsnce of 10% is treated as 0


With a life of 1 practically any hit WILL stun you. you HAVE TO get stun threshold (3 nodes right above CI keystone) generally youd get %energy shield as stun threshold too. Gearing or anoits are prolly your best option

Im not aware of a mana stun conversion

Either go mind over matter and CI with"Es to stun threshold
or eldritch & mind over mater

Not all 3 unless you can get the stun threshold to a reasonable level


Trials is life+ES

CI AND EB i dont even know if it would be plausible at all to do trials unless there is some form of conversion mechanic im not aware of.

If you managed to get this build to work youd need to get acendancies through the other trial

As others said I think this is intended behavior and you are supposed to spec into (% of ES) nodes to counter it.
I do have 100% "mana before life", but I'm trying a build without MoM so that I don't sacrifice too much mana regeneration.

I'm playing a mana stacker build and I remember making use of "The Everlasting Gaze" unique back in 0.1 to convert mana into ES that used to bypass Eldritch Battery conversion, but since the unique has been severely nerfed since, I just dropped it from the build. I may be recalling it wrong, but I remember not getting perma-stunned and/or frozen even without stacking threshold back then.

If this change is indeed intended, then I guess Eldritch Battery + Chaos Inoculation just isn't viable at all.

it still can be with the right gear and playstyle.

I am CI pure ES at 9.5-10k

with a stun charm and just the on 2 skill points allocated to % stun based on max energy shield right above CI (left side of fork) its really a none issue for the most part.

I do have "some stun threshold" on gear but not very much maybe 300ish tops completely dwarfed by the %of ES benefit
