Lost Massive Damage with patch 0.3b!

I was playing a witch essence drain build and having fun. The day before the patch my essence drain was doing 256 damage. After the patch, I found myself struggling a lot with mobs and it was taking several minutes to kill rares. I couldn't understand what happened until I looked at ED and discovered that it now only does 63 damage! That's 75% less!! No wonder I couldn't kill anything! At this point, the build is unplayable. Please tell me this is a bug. If not, any suggestions on how I can get it back to the way it was pre-patch? I don't' want to quit but I also don't want to start over. Thank you.
