The game still doesnt know what it wants to be

On one hand we have abyss infused maps with thousands of monsters that require extreme clear ( and servers cant handle it), on the other hand we have things like parry and combo based gameplay, it doesnt fit together.

On one hand we have sprint, on the other hand we have skills like leapslam with a forced added minimum attack time of 2 seconds or something. Do you know how silly it is when you sprint and press leap slam and your character starts jumping in slow motion?

Most builds kill bosses in campaign before they even get off 2 abilities, where is the challenge ?


I like this patch overall but the game still feels like it has some identity crisis and doesnt know what it wants to be.

Do you want slow and meaningful combat? Ok, then bring it back, too much powercreep ruined it.
Do you want poe1? Ok then remove stuff like forced attack time on leap slam and stuff like that.

No meaningful combat and no good movement speed is just the worst of both worlds.

Slow and meaningful combat is never going to work coupled with PoE1 mechanics like ritual, etc. The entire premise there is "be locked inside a tiny phonebox whilst trying to kill 100+ mobs and not instagib".

of course it can work if they want to, its simply a balance question

But right now we just have the worst of both, we have no meaningful combat but we also dont have the fluidity and movement of poe1
I agree 100%, and now more and more people start noticing and questioning it, yet only GGG seems to be ignoring the issue completely; not even a dismissive "we'll see....".
My problem is that the game is just plain boring still.

campaign is decent, Act4 was nice but as soon you hit the endgame it just becomes boring as hell.

Anyhow, thats the protection window of using "early access"

I will just wait for the next poe1 league.

This game is designed very strangely, all these nerfs are not about balance at all, the same huge gap with meta and non-meta builds, non-meta builds simply cannot high tier content with normal progression, or you collect them after with a sufficient amount of currency or they are simply disgusting to play as there is no damage or survivability.

Melee heroes also lose to characters with a distance, wars are absurdly slow.

We were promised class buffs, in fact we got nerfs, apparently such a policy to mock players.

Why can't I just play normally like in a regular RPG, so that the game does not punish me for it?! It is extremely difficult to dress even for an experienced player, as if the game is designed for bots, not people, but at the same time streamers always have tons of currency, I do absolutely the same, but you will always have less.

The game doesn't know what it wants to be because of worse than Blizzard Balance.

3 seasons of 1 build turning the game into POE1, it's a joke.
