Did the wildshards/ember fullisade interaction really deserve the nerf?
Just curious to hear peoples opinions on it.
It was a strong interaction, but I don't think it was busted like say, 0.1 CoC that got hotfixed mid league. Could they have just waited until 0.4 to fix this unintended interaction? It's not like it's even as strong as lightning arrow at melting bosses. For context: prepatch today, wildshards support on fullisade would shoot the projectiles like normal. Now post-patch, the wildshard projectiles shoot in a circle (probably the intended way). This is massive nerf to fullisade's single target dps, though, since instead of 8 projs hitting the enemy, 1 hits and the rest shoot in a circle around. I feel like they knew how the support interacted with fullisade pre 0.3. Since they recommend wildshards as a support for fullisade. So this change just feels like a slap in the face. i don't think it was busted. i do think the change to how it worked if you didnt fire every bolt was fine, but i don't like that it shoots every bolt in a circle now if it procs, i liked that wildshards just meant getting more bolts faster but you still shot in a straight line.
im not sure if another support gem does that, like i would take multishot if that's what it did even with the damage penalty because i just really want my bolts faster, but i took wildshards off entirely because firing in a circle is just useless 80% of the time for me as most the enemies i keep in front. but the interaction with how if you just didnt shoot every bolt, you could repeatedly get them all back with one cast every time as long as you didnt spend them all was probably a little broken and wouldn't have been decipherable/guessable by the description. |

Yea, fixing the not shooting all bolts interaction was fine. That was clearly a buggy interaction. I'm definitely more concerned with it now shooting in a circle, effectively making wild shards and the supports that generate it useless on fusillade. That feels like a change that should've waited until after the league in 0.4 so the build doesn't eat a massive nerf it doesn't rightfully deserve mid-league.
