This has to be 90% of the player base, who bought the 15gold upgrade to premium and used it on one of the 4 default tabs. And now we all need to pay again ? We've waited years for this update that was supposed to save trading but the trade site is still FULL of the old whisper system because we can't convert it. I think I bought maybe 3 items from a Merchant's tab. It's also a huge advantage for players who do have a Merchant's tab, being able to sell 24/7 and without leaving maps. Today patch fixes conversion. Just buy few more premium tabs if you have quads or default ones only.

It's so you literally cannot convert all your tabs to merchant tabs and then wonder why your stash cannot be used to store things. You got at a minimum 600 points when you bought into early access, it's only like 30 points to buy a premium tab/convert that. Tab sales should be this weekend even.

" Oh, then I guess we should be grateful to GGG... In 0.1 I converted my free tabs into Premium Tabs BECAUSE it was mandatory in order to trade. Then I bought two more Premium Quad Tabs. I'll say it again: the only reason I upgraded those tabs was that it was necessary in order to be able to trade with other players. That purpose is not fulfilled anymore by those tabs, because now most players will trade by using the in game browser and merchant system and the website will reach only a minority of the playerbase. Now I'm asked to buy more tabs because the purpose for which I was compelled to upgrade my Free Tabs apparently can't be fulfilled by upgrading one of them to a Merchant Tab and because Quad Tabs cannot be converted. If it's only 30 points for us customers, it's only 30 points for them GGG. I can afford one merchant tab, but the way GGG managed this transition is insulting to the people that decided to support an Early Access game and have spent money in the last 8 months. " ngl most people who play poe buy a support pack every league and just randomly buy cosmetics with it xD instead of cosmetics they could just buy tabs and ggs now they have 10+ of them and the regular player could throw in 10-20 a month and get 5-10 tabs per month this way so i duno why ppl care about it too much if you want to buy a new game in 2025 they are 70-90usd and some of them even have a early access which ppl pay another 20-30usd for xD and founders packs etc the minority has no money for tabs and majority of the people who play poe are adults |

This isn't about me being unhappy to spend 5 dollars, I have 35 gold I will buy it on the sale, this is about the tens of thousands of people who won't do it soon or ever. People don't like being forced to mtx even if it's very very cheap. Seriously the trade site is still mostly whisper based by a huge margin, the update that was supposed to fix it but it barely changed anything.
If the price isn't an issue because it's so cheap and people shouldn't care about it why isn't GGG giving 1 merchant's tab to everyone for free ? That would actually solve trading for good but nope we're still stuck with a bunch of premium tabs for the foreseable future |
