Entering ngakanu end of A4

I got all the way through acts 1-3 and got to the end of A4 where I go to Ngakanu after forging the weapon and... I can't get past the first mob. It one shots me every time, it doesn't even need to attack me, I can stand far away and it just hacks away at the ground at its feet and I die. This is the most ridiculous enemy in the entire game and it's crazy I've died like 20 times just entering the area and I can't get past the first enemy who is not even the boss when I killed every single boss in a single or a couple attempts. This encounter needs some serious tuning because it's too much right now

I'm pretty sure that you can just skip it,
unlike 'real' bosses for which it's more problematic because you generally need to kill them to complete a quest,
and then come back later to beat him for that guaranteed Level 13 Uncut Spirit Gem.
