Issue with Divergence Weapon Effect on Spear in POE2

I recently purchased the Divergence weapon effect from the Path of Exile 1 shop. It successfully carried over to POE2, and I’m able to apply it to some of the weapons there. However, I am playing Huntress and was very excited to use this weapon effect on the spear. When I try to use it on a Spear, I receive an error message saying "Mismatched weapon."
Is there any way to resolve this issue or get the effect to work with Spears? Thank you for your help! Last bumped on Sep 4, 2025, 7:00:34 AM

Same thing happened to me with the Harmonious weapon effect — works on other weapons but not on the spear. I’ve already emailed support and am still waiting on their reply.
