Volatility Feedback

In the current state of 0.3 Volatility is a win more skill that allows you to win more after you have already won. Its main issue is that when you proc it, you do not get anything until the buff/debuff expires. The buff starts at 4 secs and refreshes every time you get a new stack of Volatility. What this means is that on a boss you could build 58 stacks of Volatility but not get the buff until after the boss is dead. This is the same when clearing maps as you only get the buff once all the fighting is finished.

A simple alteration to the skill would make it a useful by allowing it to ramp damage during the fight instead of afterwards:

Current state:

Volatility explodes after 4 seconds, dealing 100 Physical Damage to you per Volatility. For 10 seconds after explosion, you will gain Volatile Power, Gaining 1% of Damage as Chaos for each Volatility which exploded. The explosion timer will reset on gaining another stack of Volatility.

Volatility can be gained once every 0.1 seconds, and the default maximum for Volatility stacks on you at once is 200.

I agree Volatility's design currently sucks. I would reach 200 volatility but since I keep fighting mobs then the stacks are useless. By the time they explode that means I've already killed everything in sight. It's not like you can take a 4-second break while being swarmed by monsters.

At the very least, once you reach 200 volatility it should automatically explode and give you the buff.

Is your idea that the stacks explode every 4 seconds but the buff itself stacks and refreshes as long as you keep stacking on more volatility explosions? I would like that better. That means the effects are cumulative.
I tried levelling while focusing on volatility stacking - I got the Precise volatility talent only to learn that the effective gain with 20% crit base is around 0,5% extra at 20 stacks. Not to mention all the basic problems you have already mentioned. I hope the mechanic gets redesigned soon.
I have one better. Just make volatility gives the buff directly. Why wait for it to explode anyway???????

If GGG want a drawback, fine. Make the buff deals damage at the end of the effect.

Making things complex like that is totally uncecessary. I hope things will get simple next update, we need simple things, simple stats, simple buff.
Why make things always complicated, to notice at the end it was not working and was a big flop?
