Reserved life

My Poe 2 is having a bug. Life seems reduced, as if I've taken damage and it doesn't heal back. The game says, for example, that I have 1200 life, but the life bar doesn't go above 920. Sometimes I have to die for the game to return to normal and fill the 1200 life. I have nothing reserving life, nor preventing healing. Healing potions don't heal this part of the "reserved" life.

Sounds like you're a Lich, and took the Ascendancy passive where your Life cannot change while you have Energy Shield.

Healing changes your Life.

Post removed Please disregard. It's possibly my subclass's passive, which makes health unchangeable while I have an energy shield. Maybe that's what makes it not heal while I have a shield. I don't know if that's the case, but it possibly is.

I have this same problem with my infernalist, life is stuck at 90%, I took off all my gear/skills, died many times, zoned, and it's still at 90%. Not a lich so I don't have the reserved life sub-skill.

This is clearly not working as intended. I am a lich, but that still isn't a reason to accept this bug.

I am not willing to play with half my life thanks to the unintended effect of a necessary skill node.

Infernalist has Ascendancy passives that reserve life. Do you have any of those?

This is not a bug. Mark himself has replied to a previous thread saying it's working as intended. Also it takes 4 points to get and isn't gating any other passive. Hardly 'necessary'.
