Eternal Youth Wont work
I can't heal my Energy Shield after learning Eternal Youth. Has this skill been adjusted in Patch 0.3?

Is there a new way to heal energy shield with life flask now? Or was this just a huge nerf to chaos inoculation? After 3.0 patch...

There is a unique belt that lets you heal energy shield with your potions.

For CI, that belt only works for flasks with instant recovery.
It doesn't change the conditions that Life Flasks operate under, namely not being able to use them/the flask effect ending when unreserved Life is full. |

Yes, thet don't want people to use CI builds. OK I agree that cream feast was a little bit OP. But eternal youth was fine.

setting aside the question of refilling es, what is the intended use for eternal youth now? It seems like it could possibly be good for warriors if you can have like 40 es and it recharges all life as if it were energy shield... but i can't tell if that's how it works and also it's on the opposite side of the tree...

" The original, ACTUALLY intended use for Eternal Life was to apply Energy Shield's recharge mechanic to your life bar, so that your life recharges the way Energy Shield does. Life flasks applying to shield instead of life was intended to be a drawback, not "Make CI Free Forever for Everyone". People see this as undesireable mostly because base ES recharge is pretty bad and needs significant investment to be a worthwhile defensive layer, but there's Tomfoolery you can do with it. Eternal Youth is one of those keystones that's really bad if you don't build for it and potentially Megaborked if you manage to do some Jousis-level hoodwinkery. As a keystone should be. She/Her

Why not removing CI INstead ? Its just game break Chaos damage management.
I never use CI, just maxxed chaos res. Eternal youth was central to my build. Well.... we'lll manage as usual. But damned. CI was always impossible to balance well. Remove it. |

" According to some interviews I saw before the game launched, that was actually a long contentious point of discussion, heh. Chaos Inoculation apparently massively curtails their design space and is something of a big pink elephant they constantly have to design around...but it's also considered one of THE iconic Path of Exile keystones and one of the game's most enduringly popular build selections. In the end, they felt like they had to keep CI because it's such a massively popular PoE archetype, and one of the things that defines PoE's overall identity. Which...eh. They have the data, I guess. I wouldn't be too sorry to see it go, even if my small handful of CI experiments have actually been quite fun, if that means we get back all the Cool Shit they have to constantly drop because CI exists.
