Did not receive 2nd set of points from Chaos

So I did trial of chaos during the story but when I completed it I wasn't awarded any points. I tried interacting w the statue, but nothing.

I recently found a Lvl 43 key but the text on the key says it will not grant any points.

I'm currently LvL 49 and still only have 2 ascension points.

Any ideas?
