cant move or click on things :(

for the past like three days, when I open PoE and enter my encampment, I already can't click to move or select anything, like my stash or waypoint. I'm using a regular laptop that totally isn't optimised for this and stutters and crashes often, which I can cope with. usually it runs smooth enough with reduced resolution. But not clicking makes the game unplayable. I've explored options for relevant input settings and all seems fine. options only has settings for controller and mouse and keypad, i definitely don't use a mouse. Last thing I was doing was picking my weapons and skill gems, closed my stash and couldn't open again. Can interact with some npcs. Otherwise, nuthin. help!
