Spear damage is laughable
having to use 3 rapid assaults in order to kill 1 white mob, seriously?
even stacking rage does not help with damage..... and this is in act 2/3 btw. EDIT: after getting my 3rd support gem socket unlock, rapid assault is now a lot better. I think the biggest issue was not getting any support gems to be dropped and skill gems, which meant that rapid assault and spearfield did almost no meaningfull damage because they were 2 levels behind. i'm mid-act 3 and im blowing up bosses now, so it was just a REALLY rough beginning Last edited by Zoddo#7578 on Sep 2, 2025, 3:23:37 PM Last bumped on Sep 2, 2025, 11:30:04 AM

Sounds like a you problem tbh, I don't have that issue and I'm using Fangs of Frost.

" Nah, it's a YOU PROBLEM. Don't go hiding with fallacy terminologies. It's really simple. It's a GET GOOD fallacy. |

Rapid assault is 78% damage and fangs of frost is 296% base damage. Plus, its easier to scale cold damage than physical or bleed. The point of rapid assault is to bleed an enemy. Preferably a slow moving one that will chase, aggravating the bleed, since base bleed is only 15% of attack hit, so, 15% of the 78% you hit for initially, over 5 second span. Then once you have 3 spears or so stuck in the target, you throw exploding spear for 496% damage, detonating the 3 spears in the target at another 396% each. Bleed doesn't spread and the spears don't chain or chain explosions. So, that's not the best skill for trying to clear mobs. It's a DOT setup skill for big damage from another detonation skill.

Yeah, funny when someone rebukes your problem by saying X skill is better.

" In a way I agree with this. But I doubt this makes any difference. I bet if the player uses the recommended X skill because it's better will still complain because the issue is player problem and not whether skill Y is weaker than skill X I understand the OP might be just exaggerating, venting out. But the OP also needs to understand we do the same too. We can respond with sarcasm or ridiculous counter arguments or banter too. Last edited by BigBoom9240#8803 on Sep 2, 2025, 11:30:37 AM
