Abyss performance.

Hardware: - Ryzen 9 9950x3D - memory DDR5 at 6400MT, EXPO profile, CL 32 - PCIe gen5 SSD - nvidia 4080 Software: - Linux, Fedora 42 distribution - Driver version for nvidia module and akmod - 575.64.05 - CPU CCD scheduling optimized on cores with additional cache - Steam client Graphics set to maximum, getting stable 120 FPS almost everywhere, but when the tons of monsters spawn during abyss encounter - my FPS can drop from 100-120 to 30. I tried it with and without upscaling - there are little to no difference in performance. BTW the game runs incredibly stable. The only one crash i experienced was when i swapped two spirit skill gems rapidly several times. Last bumped on Sep 2, 2025, 6:09:47 AM

I have similar specs and issues.
- Ryzen 9 9950x3D (overclocked) - DDR5 6000MT, EXPO, CL30 - NVME SSD - AMD RX9070XT 16gb Everything runs perfectly smoothly with 120fps on max settings no matter how intense the fights are, my system is completely silent, but as soon as I TP back to town, my FPS drops to like 30, game is stuttering really bad and all the fans on my system goes into full blast, sounding like the computer is about to fly off the floor. Haven't had any performance issues with abyss encounters myself, it's only in town for me. Seems to be 100% related to other players for me, if I enter town and there aren't other people there, i don't get these issues. Like OP said, game is super stable, I haven't had a single crash so far. |

This is shader compilation. This is how the game works, it would lag out eventually. You can seep shader spikes on performance monitor (F1). The issue old as POE1 unfortunately - shaders are not cached and compilated every time you load something |

This is normal unfortunately, the best you can do is reduce some details in order to increase the bottom fps.

i9-13900k, 64GB and 4090 -> in some extreme abys i have to disengage cause fps around 20fps |
