Game Does Everything It Can To Prevent People From Playing

Do you have delayed skills? Do you have skills that require multiple hits - like armour break? Forget it. You are gonna spam auto attack and dodge roll and you are gonna like it. (Viper)

Would you like to cast spells with mana? No. Mobs are gonna steal the mana and you are gonna use the auto attack and are gonna like it.

And the funniest thing was when I realised that I better think before using TP and going to town. When I cleared my first ascendancy I TPed to town and ... tough luck you can't go back. You are gonna use the stash in there because we are not competent enough to prevent people from cheating or something. Now go back and do the trials again and you better like it!

Abyss? Is it the first time you see it? Skill issue. You should have learned from earlier that TP loses your progress. I still have no idea what the area is and now I will never know.

And when I finally beat the Viper (without guides with my build) and learned my lesson about not using TPs I found out that I can't use gambling vendor to get better gear for A3 boss - like I did for act 2 boss - because the vendor is trapped in campaign. How stupid do you have to be to do that? Who is gonna be missing next, the Hooded figure?

I'd better go and farm some bases because apparently using vendors is not the intended game design. And you already know that I am gonna like it.

Not to mention "skill checks" "dps checks" "gear checks" and other toxic game mechanics that don't serve any purpose. Sure you could make the game skill based but it is much better idea to alienate new players and let only min maxers progress the campaign. I couldn't beat A2 boss for a while. I got better gear and beat it while drinking healing pot only once. Much gaming. Much skill. Oh wait I meant p2w and gear check.

I will see how I feel in the morning but I will probably uninstall.

What a colossal waste of time.

You have one job.

Let people play the game.

It's not really a game though, is it? Games are fun.

This is some type of software poorly designed around future microtransaction sales. Designed by many layers of people so abstracted from the genre that none of them actually play this or similar games themselves, ever.

It is a parasite. PoE1 is the next legitimate chain in the link after D2. PoE2 is a soon to be mobile-ready out of season April Fool's joke.

This is a game you run on a $5k PC with an RTX3090 while you gradually turn all graphics options down to low/off to try to have more than several frames per second.

All fantasy, very little ARPG. Living in the world of a real game but without all of the fun crafting and speed and build variety, etc.

An insane delusion of a slow motion dream, underwater, with guard rails, on ketamine, in quicksand, without even the prospect of a notion of joy.

The point? It's console playable! Multi-platform! Microtransactions!
I keep checking back each league. Insane.

Champions of Norath (Everquest) was a beautiful console ARPG game. This ain't that; not by a longshot.

If you go to ladders page, you will see thousands of players already reaching more than level 90.

If you go on social media, youtube, twitch, etc, there are hundreds of content providers showing guides and teaching people how to play the game.

You really need to put in effort to learn to play the game. If you cannot handle it, if you cannot put in the time, if you cannot put in the effort, or if you are too lazy to learn, or if you are too incapable of playing the game, then you should just uninstall and leave and go play other games.

You are having the same argument of people reaching lvl 90 in ladders in every thread.

That is not a metric of game being fun. Every game at launch no matter how bad it is will have speedrunners trying to finish it as quickly as possible just to unninstall it.

And streamers will stream every new league for views.

You conveniently ignore the fact that the game is mostly a dodge-roll simulator. Most bosses are piss-poor-easy and the ones that aren’t don’t let you attack or cast more than one or two things at a time.

Also I love that your idea of "learning" is going on social media and following guides. I would rather keep dying than be a braindead pleb like you who doesn't do their first playthrough blind.

Next.
Since 0.1 I think I used auto-attack like 10 times.

I absolutely do not see the issues these people encounter but I'm starting to believe "skill issue" need a come back, because at this point I really don't see what else it could be.

Anyway, it was free weekend, I expected tons of bad takes and noobs tripping over which totally happenned, a lot.

This implies that I am not the first one mentioning this. Which - in context of the rest of my post - should make you think if maybe some bosses are actually overtuned.

I read the thing about skill issue in A1 boss. I literally beat it in one try with a warrior instead of trying for an hour as a monk. How is that a skill issue? You are one of the people who either has 2000+ hours played or you are a braindead pleb who followed someone else's build.

Also I beat the Venom with my own build without guides. I just didn't enjoy it. In fact when I was finished with her I wanted to uninstall the game immediately because I hated it that much. It was work.

Next.
