Lost early access after free weekend (PS5)

My buddy and I have been game sharing POE2 since it launched. I have over 800 hours in it and haven't had any issues until now. Since the free weekend ended it says I need to rebuy the game. Surely this is a known issue and is being worked on and GGG don't expect us to each buy into the early access. Especially after not saying anything, I bought new in game microtransactions to kick off the new league and this is very disappointing.
