New 'combos/infusions' or just old 'flask piano' 2.0? [with feedback]

What i used:
Spoiler
SSF
fire mage with a bit of temp minions
storm orb+amber fuselage+fire wall with SRS/unearth/volatile dead
incinerate (very sporadically- wish i had more use for it as it was the my most anticipated skill to play with)

The 'combos' are starting to feel smooth and way less clunky- the support skills feel seamless and add damage/utility for the rest of the 'combo' without user action- this feels good.

On one hand the combos can close the gap between builds that can 'rofl' and those that are bricked. But then they don't feel rewarding but a must till you don't 'need' them- it turns combos into a chore.

The combos I have tried require you to 'stand your ground' in one way or another. the majority of encounters force me to move and so I ditch my sequence, waste the 'charge'/buff and need to start over- this feels terrible especially later when I need to move ... constantly.

On the other hand, the log scaling of dmg with combos can make you 'delete screens' making you a glass cannon in a way, because if you don't pull this off you wont be able to combo cycle. I never managed to get that power level, but i have peaked into other 'combo casters': they layer vast amount projectiles and aoe effects on top of each other- the visuals of that are just 'not for me'

conclusion:
While the 'combo' can help you with damage early on at cost of APM, the result seem to be spell spam/visual clutter- which was actually presented at the last reveal stream- this is ironically close to 'flask piano' poe1 style...

Personal remarks.
Spoiler
I'm abandoning my fire caster because of low visual clarity and it's more physically taxing than poe1 flask piano while being even more repetitive. After semi-switching to chaos DoT the difference is massive: visual clarity, time to pay attention to mechanics, 1-4 slow/situational skill sequence. I hope we can get something in the middle here, meanwhile I will be trying xbow next, and if all fails its back to raking (my fav so far)
