Remember, guys, as bad as the campaign is - you only need to do it once.
This is such a major improvement, holy shit. The worst parts of the game will now not be repeated.

Why is the campaign bad...?

" Except the campaign is GREAT.. it is the best part of the game. The endgame is !@#!#!# although |

Unless you want to play another character of course.

" Because, in more than a decade of POE, people have somehow gotten the idea that ARPGs should be spent doing ultra fast, slot machine like repetitive content (and yes, ARPGs are somewhat repetitive by nature) as soon as possible. Story, characters, world building, mean absolutely nothing to these people, they are just an obstacle they must overcome, and they hate it with a passion. On a related note, I hate that GGG doesn't compromise. Doing the campaign once a season should be enough; an option to skip for alts should be available after the 1st run. This way, the haters complain less, and the ones that like it can do it as much as they like. |

Yet another post to glaze GGG. The game has gotten worse with every patch. Less and less builds feel good from start to finish. No one cares if a multi-mirror build can blast endgame, if everything feels like absolute shit for zero power fantasy for the 20 hours it takes to get through the campaign now. Even builds that felt fine, if not the best, last league got dumpsterd this one, which is exactly why over 40% of the player base is on Deadeye and another 11% on Lich.
The complaint is that for such a chunky campaign, why are so many skills and classes just god awful, even compared to how they played last league? Even though this is the "all classes buffed" patch, and Johnathan himself said, "I am worried people will get through the campaign too fast now". |
