Took 10 attempts to go from Jungle Ruins to Infested Barrens

For the first 9 attempts, each time I tried I got an extended loading screen and then got kicked to the login page with the message "Failed to connect to instance".

I play on xbox series X.

This issue is intermittent but persistent. I get kicked to the login screen every third time I try to transition between location, on average. Most times I can log in again and continue, but I'm currently unable to access the game at all.

I reached Kingsmarch and when setting out to the first island, the game crashed me to the login screen and I got the message that "Failed to connect to instance" again. I've since spent 20+ minutes repeatedly trying to log back in to my abyssal league character with the same type of crash happening over and over and over again. This is beyond frustrating!

Servers overloaded by free weekend

Currently its impossible to connect from EU to any server Location. Is this Instance Error Known already?

Nevermind, found it. It was set to default gateway. I'll try setting it to my nearest one and change it if the instance failure happens again.

Gateway was set to Auto. I'm in Ireland and I've now tried setting the gateway to London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Washington DC with no luck, still getting "Failed to load instance" each time I try to log in my abyssal character. I can however log in to any of my characters in Standard without issue on each of those gateways.

To me that indicates that the issue is with the character's instance/save file rather than with my connection.

This issue is annoying every other zone crashes with this "failed to load instance" message. I have tried several different regions but same thing.
