Lythara if you do Interlude 2 last.

This boss somehow scaled completely out of control. I guess I did interludes in the wrong order then? I watch other people play it on video, and it seems there's not even a hint of the same situation I'm in.
I have no shot of dealing enough damage before she fills the arena with outrageous aoe. I literally just came from the Interlude 3 final boss, who I beat on the first try even if my dmg was awkward because he moves so much. I'm using Dark Effigy and Unearth + skele warriors. All of them pop in Lytharas little deathtrap arena in about 2 seconds. My minions have high hp and chaos res. And because I can't deal damage fast enough, the arena is basically a timer that kills me every time. This never happened so far, so Lythara is by far the most difficult opponent in the game, apparently. It also seems very RNG based if you get to fight her on one side of the arena, without the spirit boosts spawning there too early. If you have to move then the other side might also have a spirit, or Lythara might just stay and fill her ES while you can do nothing about it. So you need like a very lucky run to be able to fight her with "minimal problems". This shouldn't be the case if the overall difficulty is so brutal compared to other content. I repeat I've been doing fine the whole campaign, and now this one fight is somehow impossible. There's definitely something unintended going on. Last bumped on Oct 10, 2025, 9:18:14 AM

I agree. I'm at L65 with a decent chaos dmg and minion build, decent res, and came from the azmadi fight after ~10 attempts. I already thought that fight was ridiculous but after a few attempts it became manageable.
This fight is even worse. After a few of her spear attacks there is just no safe space in the arena, and it becomes super easy for her to land her one-shot attacks because I have no good moves left. It's another step in the long chain of lazy game boss designs. it's not even a challenging test of my skills, it's just a frustrating brute force attempt at hoping for the right RNG to let me pass. A fight should give me actions which I can take or not take, or some preparation I can do or not do. If I don't have any influence on the fight, this is just bad design. |

The boss is completely unbalanced; it doesn’t belong there, neither in terms of difficulty nor common sense. It destroys every build and is totally broken. It’s a good summary of the game’s current state—throwing in random things that only make sense to the developers, just for the sake of adding names. It makes no sense, much like the company and the game itself.

I came here to post a complaint too. GGG seems to expect all players to have the DPS needed to take her down in under a minute anything beyond that and she starts getting help from the Azmeri spirits (traitors in my book, always buffing the enemy and never the character).
I mean what's the point of this fight? Yet another DPS check? I capped resistance and as much armor as can be had on the passive tree at level 65, but as soon as the 2nd spirit possesses her, the odds of winning are near impossible with all the stupid effects going on on-screen like the ox stampede and gorilla swarm. I've had both in play at the same time in that stupidly small arena! |

Came here to post too, that this fight is completely unbalanced, there is no shot an average player is going to complete this fight. A god skilled player would struggle here, and it's just a campaign mob, it's scaled completely out of control.

Another Question is, why the heck can she just ignore ES for a CI Character?
That turns going CI into a hilarious disadvantage if a Boss can always just 1shot your 1hp ignoring the Energy Shield. That's totally absurd, failed design. |
