Can't Login to Account

Hello i can't log into my account. Months back there was a incident where someone was able to get into players accounts. they were selling there take items so i made a new email just incase something would happen but i forgot the password and i did not have any way of recovering it. I did not set up a backup email or anything. I wanted to play PoE2 but i cant since i don't remember my password. and i cant access the email i used for it so i don't know what to do. if you can help in anyway that would be great. I'm not sure what information i can give you i do have it linked to my steam account. i like using the standalone more i feel like its more stable when i played the game.
