Failed to connect to instance on character login

Was progressing through my campaign in Holten when the game froze up and eventually disconnected me saying Failed to connect to instance. Now, every time I try to log into my character I am met with the same message. I can't even get logged in. Tried changing gateway, tried VPN, tried verifying game files.

Edit: After about 30min I was able to log

+1 can't login to my third edict character

+1 game kinda froze and now can't log back in to character. seems like it's stuck trying to log into a corrupted instance

same here, was loading into a new area and now cant connect

Yes, to clarify, its my POE2 characters. I can't even log into my standard league characters either.
I was able to start a new character and get into town and waypoint to my hideout with no issues. Definitely not trying to start a new character and loose my others though.

Yes, I was also disconnected and now cannot connect to instance after logging in. I tried one of my other characters in standard and she also could not get in.

Transitory? I am now able to get in.

Sailed to kedge bay act 4, game crashed and now I get failed to connect to instance.

Able to log in now after about 10 mins
