Mercenary and accuracy

Hey peeps, I'm just curious because this has been really frustrating for me I have 100% accuracy at 2/5m and 92% at 9m but with High Velocity Round I seem to be missing ALOT even at melee range, is there something wrong I'm doing?

I've tried the Ground only setting and i'm using WASD movement even if I click on the target or ahead of the target it just misses far too much. Is it something I'm doing wrong? anyone got any tips to avoid?

Edit: Seems as though a friend of mine is also having accuracy issues with the crossbow.
