Ancient Vows quest reward bug

I have placed both of the relics on the altar. I cannot choose the reward (charm charges or charm duration). I also cannot pick up the relics or reset this in any way.
I suspect this glitch happened because I joined a friends instance who was at a similar stage in progression to me. I hadn’t clicked the 3 runes on valley of the titans before I put the relics in the altar (but it let me put them in there). I went back and clicked the three runes to see if that would make a difference - no I reset the instance numerous times - no Tried to pick up the relics - they are stuck in there.
