Shrike Island - Dislike killing the baby birds

I'm loving the patch so far, all of the zones looks so good and the new ones are impressive. I have a small point of feedback that probably seems silly -- I dislike on Shrike Island that your abilities (or even running over the nests) kills the baby birds.

Do the birds grow up to be evil? Probably, but it makes me really sad to see all of their little bodies flop over and die. So much so I just ran through the zone as fast as I could. It'd be cool if there was an option to disable the ability to kill the babies. I'm likely in the minority on this lol but it made me sad!

I found your post because I actually googled 'path of exile shrike island baby birds', because I wanted to see if someone else had mentioned this. I feel exactly the same way. It feels like this... needless slaughter of the innocent and defenseless. And while the PoE world is a dark place, usually it's others doing the wanton slaughter and then we get to exact revenge by killing them.

I know "ARPG" doesn't really mean that a game necessarily contains a lot of roleplay elements anymore nowadays, but if this game had any - I would definitely avoid killing those baby birds. And then later that morality decision would bite me in the ass when an army of birds invades Kingsmarch.

But so be it.
lmao =- notify Peta ???

But serious - that could be a great questline story for future content. We killed all his family but Baby Bird comes back to ransack the Kingsmarch...

Hahaha and hes already in the game, that bird in the Ascendency Trials....
In game since Minotaur League..

It was always in PoE. In PoE 1 Act 5 you are often killing innocent civillians because you are blasting everything on the screen. They often cry for help or beg for mercy. In PoE 2 act 2 your are on caravan which use human slaves. In PoE franchise you are not hero, just main protagonist and probably lesser of two evils.

Agreed. I think that's part of why there aren't any "cute" MTX. You're full of corruption. Lucky for Wraeclast you're using your corruption to cleanse other corruption. But you're no saint.
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.
