RTX 2070 super - terrible frame rate dropping below 30fps often

Would really appreciate any advice. I have the newest drivers installed. If I could just keep an consistent 60fps, that would be fine, but right now I'm fluctuating between 90fps and 22fps.

Your CPU is 25 ms, thats not a 2070 Super problem, your CPU is bottlenecking hard.

In town it just hovers in the 20ms. Outside town it's 10-13 usually, but I'm still experiencing the fps wildly fluctuating between 90 and 30.

I have a i9-13900K with 32GB RAM and NVIDIA RTX 4090 with FPS consistent around 15 FPS. Don't know how to get it higher. Never had this problem before.

for starters, turn down texture filering, shadows.
for seconders, upgrade CPU. ur GPU is 3 generations old now, so don't expect to max stuff out any more. |

4080 Super with 7800X3D getting annihilated at 95% usage for 80 fps.. it will be almost one year and they have done literally 0 f..n optimizations lol.. it's just sad
