Burning Inscription scaling?
I've been thinking about trying to make a "burn the whole screen" build.
And with new passive nodes that give bonuses when you yourself are ignited or standing on top of ignited ground, I begin to wonder if I could utilize Burning Inscription somehow. The issues is, however, from what I understand, ignited ground doesn't scale with anything other than max mana and ignite magnitude. And I don't think that it was changed in 0.3. Which means that all these "fire archon" and "increased fire damage while ignited" won't contribute anything at all to ignited ground's damage. Which sucks. So how would you scale Burning Inscription then? Is it even possible at all to make it viable? I was wondering the same about flame wall. If there's any way to make it the main spell of the build? But it seems like GGG don't want that to be possible. The only thing that comes to mind is using burning inscription and/or flame wall to ignite everything around, and then use snap. But snap has a cooldown. And I'm struggling to think how to utilize this beyond that. Cast on ailment also won't work because it procs on hits and it doesn't continue to generate energy while enemies stay ignited, only when ignite is applied. Any thoughts? Any suggestions? Would be much appreciated. Last edited by Kligan#2575 on Aug 30, 2025, 12:46:21 PM Last bumped on Aug 30, 2025, 1:37:47 PM

Also, I just tried, and snap doesn't consume ignite on enemies standing in flame wall. So I would assume it also won't work on ignited ground.
Edited: Correction, flame wall and ignited ground stack flammability on target, and apply ignite debuff at 50% flammability, that can be consumed by snap. Last edited by Kligan#2575 on Aug 30, 2025, 6:55:38 PM
