After last update , on my Rog Ally X is a complete disaster now the game

Hi ,
I always played the old version on Rog Ally X in docked mode without any problems. I had reached Act 3 with a level 37 character (I had recently purchased the game), but now, starting over with a new character, the game has deteriorated significantly. Textures, FPS, and loading times are much slower. Also, can you tell me if I need to create a character and choose something specific, such as a league, in order to take advantage of the new expansion? I mean, I had selected standard league from the drop-down menu under the character name selection. Thank you.
