Quarterstaff passives bonuses for Unarmed

Hi all! Are Quarterstaffs passives bonus suppose to affect Unarmed as Hollow Palm says can attack as though using a quarterstaff?

No, do they affect it? Hollow Palm allows you to use quarterstaff skills while unarmed. All the scaling is written in the description. It comes from skill level and gear defenses.

Thats what I thought! It was the wording "As though using a Quarterstaff" that confused me a bit!
