Use Account name and NOT hero name

Hi!

This distinct hero name system is soooo stupid.
This is not Wow where we will play with our hero for 10-20 years, mostly few months.

Why not use Account name (which is probably already Unique) for invites and names in general and then we can use Any hero name we like within our account.
Just see how Diablo3 working, its the best so far have seen.

Yes please make this happen, having to come up with a unique character for each character is absolutely stupid.

Bumping this thread since it's still a massive problem.

So bad that in fact one time in PoE1 (which uses the same system), after not being able to get any character names I wanted I mashed my keyboard in rage and clicked create character AND IT WAS STILL TAKEN.

That's comically bad.

This game isn't even free to play yet and it's going to become FAR WORSE in v1.0.

Even Blizzard solved this issue back in Diablo 3 fourteen years ago by using a numbered tag system for accounts, allowing the player to use any character name they wanted.

Really need to change this, because getting character names in free to play games with millions of players is an absolute nightmare.

I never had trouble finding a character name.
Diablo 3? You want everyone in your game have the name "god"? Lol.
