PC Standalone Pre Download Third Edict

How can I start the pre-download for PoE 2: The Third Edict with the standalone PC client?
I’m a full supporter and already have early access, but the standalone client still shows the old patch version. On PS5, the patch has already been downloaded, but on PC it hasn’t started yet. Kind Regards Last bumped on Aug 29, 2025, 3:38:15 PM

when steam preload though? i dont wanna be that kind of crybaby but i only have a good 6mbit/s atm (i have 4g/5g duo to lots of work where i need it) and i would love to atleast start the download pre leaguelaunch

Started the torrent right away anyway… but it’s showing almost a full day to finish. Hardly any seeders and the download speed peaks at only ~60 Mbit. So I guess I’ll have to properly start tomorrow. No offense, but a torrent really feels like the worst possible option here. PS5 already got the patch, while Steam and standalone PC players will likely never finish before league start.
Maybe consider offering a direct download or preload option in the future – would make things a lot smoother for everyone. Kind regards |
