will the Win 24H2 high cpu usage / crashing problem be fixxed?
Hello,
I would like to know if the problem with the Windows 24H2 update which causes the game to use 100% CPU due to the hyperthreading/multicore issue will be fixed with the next update, or if I really need to consider new hardware. For clarification: I already tested this on two brand-new Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPUs with two new B550 mainboards, and the issue happens on both systems. The game instantly pushes the CPU to 100% usage on all cores until it eventually crashes. The previously released fix did not solve the problem. Since the Dawn of the Hunt update, the game has become literally unplayable for me. i tried many solutions nothing worked so anyone knows if it gets adressed? Last bumped on Aug 29, 2025, 9:44:13 AM

" They are working on the windows 11 issue, getting new hardware would be a waste of money, I have the 5700x3d but have low to medium CPU usage. It is partly the games problem but also Win 11. How Win schedules the CPU for PoE 2 is the main issue and they are trying to find the fix. I am on Win 10 and every has been running smoothly, Microsoft had no real reason to change the OS aside from pushing more data farming and advertisement within the OS. I do hope they fix the issue for everyone on Win 11, it really sucks seeing people have issues with games because of that OS. |
