Free weekend is going to draw the bot farms in like flies on poop
It really is time for video games such as poe2, which should not have any connection to irl monetization scams by third parties, to completely remove the ability for scammers to make irl connections to their customers.

Well, yeah it will probably bring in some more bots, sure.
But it's just 2 days afterall. Also, its still EA (from the amount of content missing, I'd even say its still quite early in EA). So I think that should definitely not be the focus right now. Would be nice to do something against RMT for sure, but thats something for right before or sometime after release imo. Also consider that PoE 1 is completely free, and while suffering from RMT like any MMO, it's still not destroying the game. |

That's what GGG wants to flood the servers! 100,000 would be perfect!

" For that purpose I think double that :) " I kind of agree, however there is a tendency for those activities to skew things and that does effect how the game is developed and tuned. To say nothing of the knock on effects of credit card theft and such. |

" your premise is wrong. People who join the game are the one who didn't pay for it so they sure as hell won't buy some divines from bots for their 2 day experience in POE 2 |

I don't know why it would bring in more bots... there has been an entire industry in 0.1 and 0.2.

The game will be free to play when released so i guess they better be ready now.
Console loot filter for POE2 Please!

" bots for sure would just funnel stuff down and would do so to an existing bot account that has a valid ea key. I was not refering to legitimate players trying the game out. |

Who cares? What's the difference between now and when the game goes free on release? Almost everyone will want to start on the new launch server anyway.
