Question about fragmentation rounds
I am wondering if the explosion against frozen enemies scales with projectile damage.
If so, how does it interact with point blank/far shot: Does it take into account the distance from me and the enemy being affected by the explosion or the distance between the source of the explosion and the enemy it hits? Does anyone know? Last bumped on Aug 28, 2025, 4:58:43 AM

Projectile damage increase the normal hit and the hit against frozen.
There is no indication about how much damage deal the aoe but it does damage for sure so i believe it could be the base damage (not combined when multiple frags hit the target) of the projectile that consumes the freeze, which is scalable with passives (area damage and proj damage) but not support gems. The distance only matter for the projectile damage and not for the explosion, when you manage to combine multiple frags in 1 hit at point blank but for the above reasons is unsure if it combines the aoe damage too. Incendiary shot for example only generate 1 cone for each pellet, no matter if you combine them the cone's damage will be the same as 1 base pellet.
